Introduction to Mindful Meditation
What is Meditation?
In today’s very busy modern world, many are feeling an intuitive and fundamental desire for silence and inner peace. Turning to meditation to practice therapeutic breathing and to take a moment of calm reflection, can reduce stress and help us relax; but, it can also give us a lot more. Learning to quiet the mind and detach from our thoughts helps us be in the current moment, allowing us to unlock our creative potential. Meditation helps you to let go of worries and teaches you how to heal mind and body by using simple techniques for relieving pain and inner suffering.
In “Introduction to Mindful Meditation”, students will learn:

Introduction to NIA
The Nia Technique is a cardiovascular fitness and personal growth practice that integrates the body, mind, emotions, and spirit. Nia embraces both form and freedom: the form of simple steps, kicks, and stances that anyone can learn; and the freedom of each participant's inner dance. Nia truly represents the “Joy of movement.”

Introduction to Pilates Reformer
This Introductory class is for clients that are new to the reformer and looking for a small group experience with a maximum of 5 participants. You will gain strength and flexibility while working with spring loaded resistance in a variety of exercises. Enjoy the feeling of a flatter tummy, stronger back and shoulders.
Prerequisites: 12 Pilates Mat Classes.

Pilates EXO Chair 1
The EXO chair is an exciting exercise experience for participants of all levels. Users will learn how to use slastix tubing and spring loaded resistance to strengthen and tone the entire body from the inside out.
Prerequisites: Pilates Mat 123.

Pilates EXO Chair Basics
This class will teach you everything you need to know about working out on the EXO chair. The focus is on basic exercises in a variety of different body positions to strengthen and tone. You will learn how to stabilize your torso and pelvis properly for optimal core strength!
Prerequisites: 12 Pilates Mat classes.

Reformer/EXO Chair Combo
Enjoy the best of length and strength. This combination class will give you lasting results for flexibility, core strength and overall body toning! This results oriented class will transform your body!

TRX Suspension Training
The TRX® Suspension Trainer® leverages one's own bodyweight and gravity to develop power, balance, strength, flexibility and core stability simultaneously. This training tool is appropriate for people of all ages and at all fitness levels.

Pilates EXO Chair Total Body Workout
EXO Chair class delivers a unique and fun, full body workout. Functional resistance training with proper technique is the main focus. This total body workout will strengthen and tone your arms, legs, shoulder, back and of course the abdominals!
Prerequisites: 12 Pilates Mat or a minimum of 3 private lessons.

Pilates EXO Chair/Reformer Strength Class
This mid-morning class will get your muscles pumping from head to toe! You will learn correct body mechanics and positioning while safely challenging your muscles with heavier spring loaded resistance. Each hour is a full body workout!
Prerequisites: 12 Pilates Mat Classes and minimum 3 private lesson on the apparatus.

Pilates Reformer Total Body Workout
Enjoy this challenging and invigorting Pilates Reformer workout. As we work towards advancing to level 2 exercises, we will focus on strengthening the shoulders, back, and abdominals. You will benefit by feeling stronger in your entire torso and pelvic region - hooray!
Prerequisites: Pilates Reformer 1 or 12 Private Lessons.

Core Yoga 1
Core Yoga 1 concentrates on proper technique and alignment in a variety of postures that open up tight spots, balance the nervous and endocrine systems and help you unwind after a hectic day.

Core Yoga Semi-Private Class
This class is suitable for Yoga students of all levels and will leave you feeling relaxed and connected in your body. You will learn a series of hip and shoulder openers to enhance your alignment in a variety of Hatha Yoga postures. Bolsters, blocks, straps and blankets will be used in each class for added support and comfort.

Partner Yoga
Like food and water, touch and intimacy are basic human needs. As naked and vulnerable newborns, we thrive on skin-to-skin contact with other humans. Yet somewhere between infancy and adulthood, this fulfilling nourishment from touch is virtually lost. In today’s high-tech world, most of us are more comfortable connecting with each other through machines and modems than our own skin. Yet for optimum health, we all need to touch and to be touched. Partner Yoga can be practiced with a friend, lover, gym buddy – even your child.
It is 8 weeks sessions, one hour long (7:15 – 8:15 PM )

This class is designed for clients new to Pilates exercise. Pilates principals with fundamental exercises set the groundwork for body awareness, proper breathing, joint mobility and flexibility. As the session progresses, you will learn more targeted exercises to strength your entire body.

Yoga and Relaxation with Helene
Helene teaches a healing and rejuvenating class that will help you find a deep sense of relaxation. She will guide you with gentle stretches that feel good for helping you unwind at the end of the day. With guided imagery and mediation, you will be sure to a have peaceful night of sleep!

Core Yoga 2
Deepen your Yoga practice at an intermediate level. The class will teach you how to safely stretch and strengthen the legs, hips, shoulders and back. You will learn how to incorporate myofascial release exercises to balances your body and energy levels. The results are a strong, centred and grounded body.
Prerequisites: Preferably some exercise experience.

Pilates Dance Motion
Invigorating, refreshing and speaks to your soul! This earthy movment class with live hand drumming music builds on core activation from Pilates Mat work to more freeing movement. This class improves muscular balance around joints and builds bone density. You will feel joyfully inspired and connected to your body, mind and spirit!

Pilates Mat 2
This class targets abdominal and back muscles for strength, power and flexibility. You will feel your ‘core’ get stronger each week and regain a sense of power through your midriff. You will leave each class feeling strong and supported from the inside out.

Pilates Mat 3
In this class exercises become more complex. Balance is challenged in a range of positions and muscular endurance is emphasized. Core muscles are addressed and inner unit connections are the centre stage while the integrity of the entire body comes more to the forefront at this stage. The result is improved performance in just about everything you do including sports, dance and daily activities.

This class is designed for clients of all levels. You begin with key fundamental Pilates movements and then progresses into a challenging intermediate exercises with modfications. You will feel an overall body challenge with exercises that strengthen your core and improve your flexibility. At the end of this class, you will feel taller, more stretched and centred!

Private or Semi-private Lesson
Pilates Private or Semi-private Lessons are a great way to receive corrective posture assessment and exercise prescription to change your body for life! You will become more knowledgeable of your own faulty posture problems and how to reprogram your body to become more mobile, flexible, strong and pain free!

Pilates Reformer Stretch Class
Start your Monday morning off right with gentle stretches on the reformer. Each class we will focus on legthening the hamstrings and stretching tight back muscles. A focus on spinal ranges of motion including extension, rotation and lateral flexion will be ephasized. The result is a strong stretched and centred body.
